Berry George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terence Rubin in the 38th minute of the match. A.C Atlantic Highlands's Stephen Duffy was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mickey Weiss during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th match minute, A.C Atlantic Highlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mickey Weiss to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C Atlantic Highlands's goalkeeper Cedric Rader, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terence Rubin to make the kick off. If Terence Rubin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Terence Rubin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the A.C Atlantic Highlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terence Rubin couldn't finish the play. Terence Rubin might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Berry George. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Terence Rubin ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jarrett Hutchins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanton Duff's late challenge caught a A.C Atlantic Highlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarrett Hutchins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cedric Rader tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Jarrett Hutchins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Page's Donnie Sorensen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Page's goalkeeper Berry George, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
