Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dariusz Gurgul started the match with the kick off. Scott Harper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Gurgul in the 4th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Abril in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Scott Harper saved Welch from getting behind. Big Lake were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Welch's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dariusz Gurgul took the corner. The corner led Big Lake's Dariusz Gurgul to fire away a dangerous shot which Scott Harper despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Scott Harper made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Dariusz Gurgul sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th match minute, Welch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirk Ward to maneuver through the defense. Mario Kempes took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scott Harper. Scott Harper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Welch's Scott Harper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Welch from getting a goal against them. Mario Kempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott Harper having to interfere. Scott Harper didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Big Lake's Dariusz Gurgul shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After a defensive mix-up in Welch's zone, Dariusz Gurgul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scott Harper came out of the goal and Dariusz Gurgul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Welch's goalkeeper Scott Harper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dariusz Gurgul. Dariusz Gurgul scored 3-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scott Harper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th match minute, Welch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Dorsey to maneuver through the defense. Dwight Ortega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scotty Bowden in the 41st minute of the match. Scott Harper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dariusz Gurgul in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute Shawn Fletcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwight Ortega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Von Rainey made a kick off. Scott Harper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Gurgul, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Mario Kempes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Scott Harper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Von Rainey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Mario Kempes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Big Lake fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Dariusz Gurgul scored 5-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scott Harper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Welch's Scott Harper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Gurgul in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Dariusz Gurgul made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Welch's Scott Harper tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Maxwell Slater hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Von Rainey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scott Harper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan de Bruin in the 75th minute of play. If Mario Kempes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Kempes in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Scott Harper saved Welch from getting behind. A collision led to Big Lake getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ari Spears hit a great ball. Shawn Fletcher in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dwight Ortega, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 86th minute, Scotty Bowden had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Ari Spears kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Mario Kempes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott Harper having to interfere. The supporters of Welch booed when Big Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Wilhelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7-0 became the score in the 95th minute when Dariusz Gurgul elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. There was no doubt that Big Lake were the better team. Big Lake's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
