The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes in the game, Walker Benitez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Keenan McGraw having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willis Albert in the 6th minute of play forced Murphy's goalkeeper Renato Gibbs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Walker Benitez rounded East Douglas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Clayton Looney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Keenan McGraw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Berry Baker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Douglas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berry Baker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Shapiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keenan McGraw having to interfere. East Douglas's Keenan McGraw proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save East Douglas from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Willis Albert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Keenan McGraw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walker Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Berry Baker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Gibbs having to interfere. If Willis Albert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Murphy's goalkeeper Renato Gibbs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berry Baker. Renato Gibbs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willis Albert, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Willis Albert had several of the Murphy's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Renato Gibbs as he didn't even see the shot coming. Willis Albert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Renato Gibbs came out and tried to block the shot, but Willis Albert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 71st minute. A collision led to East Douglas getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Flint Blake hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Norbert Chaney sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renato Gibbs skillfully saved the ball. Clayton Looney scored 2-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keenan McGraw, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Shapiro during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Willis Albert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berry Baker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Renato Gibbs made a huge save. 97 minutes into the match, Murphy's goal looked a bit too open when Willis Albert came free, but Renato Gibbs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The East Douglas players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Murphy from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
