Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mike McKinley kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the game, Wendell Pope was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fallbrook's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Johnson Lane the free kick. A collision led to Fallbrook getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Wendell Pope hit a great ball. Johnson Lane's Josiah Krause played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Salinas in the 14th minute of play. Cristopher Conn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike McKinley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darrell Reyna during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Darrell Reyna hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When Dominic Salinas came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Fallbrook fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominic Salinas couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Johnson Lane booed when Fallbrook was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Keith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Bacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Conn having to interfere. Wendell Pope could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Josiah Krause made a huge save. Dominic Salinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
