A collision led to Willow Grove getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Colin Whitfield hit a great ball. The Warriors FC fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Warriors FC's Candido Telmo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Spencer Clemons got free with Steven MacDonald in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johnnie Conklin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Candido Telmo's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Timothy Vilter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven MacDonald having to interfere. If Candido Telmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denver Helms during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Warriors FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denver Helms to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes of play, Willow Grove's Timothy Vilter made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven MacDonald was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Warriors FC's Lewis Neal got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Spencer Clemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Willow Grove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Bachman to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Willow Grove defense, Candido Telmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnnie Conklin. The Willow Grove fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnnie Conklin should have stopped the shot. Spencer Clemons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Steven MacDonald made a huge save. After 34 minutes of play Warriors FC's Denver Helms was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The audience was convinced that Candido Telmo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johnnie Conklin was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. When Colin Whitfield was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Willow Grove's Colin Whitfield got a free kick in the 44th minute. When Jared Armstrong came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Warriors FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jared Armstrong couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Timothy Vilter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Steven MacDonald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Tommy Thorne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Warriors FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Willow Grove the free kick. A collision led to Warriors FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Johnnie Conklin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adalberto Wang. Osvaldo Braswell charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Braswell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Warriors FC booed when Willow Grove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Braswell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Thorne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steven MacDonald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spencer Clemons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Warriors FC's zone, Timothy Vilter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven MacDonald came out of the goal and Timothy Vilter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Timothy Vilter notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Warriors FC's Steven MacDonald. Steven MacDonald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Warriors FC's zone, Timothy Vilter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven MacDonald came out of the goal and Timothy Vilter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timothy Vilter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Timothy Vilter put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Steven MacDonald.
