The supporters of North Babylon AFC booed when colorado rapids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrese Kaufman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Kurt Keenan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. colorado rapids's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Keenan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walter Kenney charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walter Kenney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marshall Connolly made a kick off. Brendan Robinson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Keenan in the 52nd minute. Genaro Abernathy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Connolly in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Kurt Keenan managed to get in a good position for a shot. colorado rapids's supporters rose to their feet, but Kurt Keenan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendan Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tyrese Kaufman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. Genaro Abernathy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marshall Connolly's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 73 minutes into the game, George Traylor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. colorado rapids's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Babylon AFC the free kick. After 73 played minutes colorado rapids got a freekick which was hit by George Traylor. When North Babylon AFC's Jamar Denson, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for North Babylon AFC. If Jamar Denson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendan Robinson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyrese Kaufman in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes North Babylon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Garret Hays. After 85 played minutes North Babylon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Randolph Cornelius. In the 86th minute, Richard Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
