Norbert Burkhart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Coats in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Lake Ronkonkoma's goalkeeper Norbert Burkhart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Dye. An unexpectedly hard shot by DeAngelo Spicer in the 15th minute of play forced PapiMonoceros fc's goalkeeper Tomas German to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to PapiMonoceros fc getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Stacy Murry hit a great ball. Richie Smallwood's late challenge caught a PapiMonoceros fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richie Smallwood helped the player get up and apologised. PapiMonoceros fc's Nicky Figueroa was substituted for Joshua Coats. Lake Ronkonkoma's Norbert Burkhart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicky Figueroa in the 26th minute of play. Pedro Dye took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norbert Burkhart. Norbert Burkhart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 34th match minute, Lake Ronkonkoma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Terrell to maneuver through the defense. Nicky Figueroa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Dye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Norbert Burkhart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pedro Dye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Dye to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Pedro Dye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Dye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Alex Terrell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lake Ronkonkoma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PapiMonoceros fc the free kick. The supporters of PapiMonoceros fc booed when Lake Ronkonkoma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Terrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Burkhart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Dye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Lake Ronkonkoma's Ross Akins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomas German made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Jayson Brannon came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Lake Ronkonkoma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jayson Brannon couldn't finish the play. Ross Akins came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tomas German could save by the left post. DeAngelo Spicer kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Pedro Dye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Norbert Burkhart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Vincent hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Jayson Brannon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas German saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lake Ronkonkoma's zone, Pedro Dye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Burkhart came out of the goal and Pedro Dye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. DeAngelo Spicer charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed DeAngelo Spicer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. DeAngelo Spicer kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Ross Akins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lake Ronkonkoma and the PapiMonoceros fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ross Akins hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. PapiMonoceros fc's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
