Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stephen Hampton started the match with the kick off. Stephen Hampton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vance Williamson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Hank Carrier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirk Jacob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephen Hampton scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kirk Jacob, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reinaldo Yoshioka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Jacob having to interfere. After 35 played minutes, Dalton FC's Wilson Sinclair shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kirk Jacob came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dalton FC reached it. Hank Carrier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stephen Hampton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Jacob having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Dalton FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernie Goodrich. 48 minutes into the match, Dalton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vance Williamson came free, but Tyson Denton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Vance Williamson made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Dalton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernie Goodrich to maneuver through the defense. If Stephen Hampton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 minutes, Tyrone Belcher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oceanside and the Dalton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dalton FC booed when Oceanside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrone Belcher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hank Carrier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Kirk Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Dalton FC booed when Oceanside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Gibbons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebio Courtney struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Tyson Denton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oceanside. A collision led to Dalton FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jacob Dietz hit a great ball. Stephen Hampton was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vance Williamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Hank Carrier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 92 minutes into the game, Hank Carrier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Kirk Jacob was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kirk Jacob showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Hampton, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Dalton FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
