The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyrus Sullivan got free with Marcus Ricks in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Central Gardens AFC's Winfred Akins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Dean in the 81st minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Austin Grayson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Central Gardens AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Raytown the free kick.
