In the 6th minute, Stanton Becerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Stanton Becerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Londonderry's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Laws came free, but Aurelio Gonzales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andy Sykes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miles Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Miles Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Sykes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Escobar in the 34th minute of the match. Londonderry's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daron Carrington in the 36th minute. The corner led to Londonderry's Aidan Arrington getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Russell Hannah might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andy Sykes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Russell Hannah ran back to his position shaking his head. When Domingo Laws came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Madelia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Laws couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Domingo Laws made the kick off in the second half. Tod Munoz hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Aurelio Gonzales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Rush, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingo Laws sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Russell Hannah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Londonderry's supporters rose to their feet, but Russell Hannah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy Sykes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miles Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Andy Sykes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Madelia FC's goalkeeper Andy Sykes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanton Becerra. Riley Bradshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Riley Bradshaw during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Madelia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Riley Bradshaw to maneuver through the defense. After 87th play minutes Miles Escobar shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Andy Sykes and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Madelia FC booed when Londonderry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvatore Blackman didn't get a good kick on the ball.
