Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Grady Donnelly started the match with the kick off. Van Kim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ned Hilliard went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, Los Chaves's goal looked a bit too open when Wade Simmons came free, but Van Kim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, North Great River AFC's goalkeeper Zack Garza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Scottie Bowling. Zack Garza made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Scottie Bowling sent off a good shot on target. Grady Donnelly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zack Garza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Zack Garza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grady Donnelly in the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the North Great River AFC defense, Scottie Bowling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zack Garza. The North Great River AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zack Garza should have stopped the shot. Los Chaves's Scottie Bowling got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Grady Donnelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Chaves's supporters rose to their feet, but Grady Donnelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zack Garza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ned Hilliard made a kick off. Karl Bustamante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Van Kim made a huge save. After having played for 54 minutes, Wade Simmons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Great River AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wade Simmons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wade Simmons who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Van Kim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ned Hilliard struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Van Kim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Great River AFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wade Simmons got free with Van Kim in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wade Simmons came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Van Kim could save by the left post. In the 75th minute, Errol Alford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Van Kim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ned Hilliard, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jamal Guillory hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Los Chaves's goal looked a bit too open when Ned Hilliard came free, but Van Kim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Karl Bustamante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wade Simmons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wade Simmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Van Kim having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, North Great River AFC's Ned Hilliard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Van Kim. Van Kim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
