With an all-out effort, North Great River AFC's Lincoln Winston threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ned Hilliard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 14 minutes into the match, PI-dodge-KA's Von Harman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zack Garza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wade Simmons hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Ace Delarosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zack Garza. North Great River AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ace Delarosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, North Great River AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ace Delarosa came free, but Zack Garza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, PI-dodge-KA's Lincoln Winston got control of the ball when Karl Bustamante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zack Garza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Elliott in the 34th minute of play. Hugh Cowan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hugh Cowan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Ignacio Stanley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ned Hilliard to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Raul Crenshaw mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PI-dodge-KA and the North Great River AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, PI-dodge-KA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Crenshaw to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 55 minutes, Ned Hilliard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Great River AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ned Hilliard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, North Great River AFC's Karl Bustamante got a free kick in the 61st minute. Zack Garza made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ace Delarosa sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute Ned Hilliard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lincoln Winston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Hugh Cowan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Ned Hilliard came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the North Great River AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ned Hilliard couldn't finish the play. Lincoln Winston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ned Hilliard, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Ace Delarosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Renaldo Fritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lincoln Winston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. North Great River AFC's Zack Garza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save North Great River AFC from getting a goal against them. Ace Delarosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zack Garza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugh Cowan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
