After a defensive mix-up in Hunters Creek Village FC's zone, Colin Kyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darin Poirier came out of the goal and Colin Kyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darin Poirier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Colin Kyle in the 6th minute of the match. Calvin Rushing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Shea, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joe Green during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joe Green hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Hunters Creek Village FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeffrey Esquivel came free, but Darin Poirier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, San Benito's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Shea came free, but Calvin Rushing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Shea was the one to do the kick off. Calvin Rushing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Green, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of San Benito booed when Hunters Creek Village FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamal Beach didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Hunters Creek Village FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Benito:s goal. Hunters Creek Village FC's Darin Poirier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Landis in the 70th minute of play. If Colin Kyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to San Benito getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gerry Melendez hit a great ball. If Joe Green had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. Pablo Shea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calvin Rushing having to make a save.
