Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alex Bragg kicked off to start the match. Aidan Henry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Victor Fox made a huge save. Rhett Schaffer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alex Bragg's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Aidan Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Bragg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhett Schaffer having to interfere. When Aidan Henry came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Groton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aidan Henry couldn't finish the play. After 22 minutes of play, Groton's Cary Hunter made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Fox was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 29 minutes, Aidan Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Groton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aidan Henry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clay Tate charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clay Tate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Groton's Michael Frey shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Victor Fox but with some difficulty. In the 36th minute, Alex Bragg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stinnett fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 43rd match minute, Stinnett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rey Lozano to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aidan Henry was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aidan Henry in the 56th minute of play forced Stinnett's goalkeeper Victor Fox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhett Schaffer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Bragg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Alex Bragg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Groton's Rhett Schaffer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Aidan Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basil Donovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Fox having to interfere. If Aidan Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Stinnett's zone, Cary Hunter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Fox came out of the goal and Cary Hunter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Groton's Edward Carson got a free kick in the 86th minute. Rhett Schaffer made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ross Lofton sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Stinnett booed when Groton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Carson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Jonathan Kincaid sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rhett Schaffer skillfully saved the ball. The Groton supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Stinnett's performance. The match ended with a win for Stinnett.
