Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Renato Gregory started the match with the kick off. When Sid Downs fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sleepy Eye AFC's protests and gave Sid Downs a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes Sleepy Eye AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sid Downs. In the 6th minute Renato Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nolan Casey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Wyatt Keith had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandy Cote. Sleepy Eye AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wyatt Keith was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Renato Gregory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nolan Casey having to interfere. When Sid Downs came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sleepy Eye AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Downs couldn't finish the play. If Sid Downs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nolan Casey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Gregory, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Harahan AFC's Leonard Dubois slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sandy Cote. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonard Dubois stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sleepy Eye AFC booed when Harahan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Preston Walker didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Dubois in the 73rd minute of play forced Sleepy Eye AFC's goalkeeper Sandy Cote to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes in the game, Darius McLaughlin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nolan Casey having to interfere. Emmanuel Lopes, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Leonard Dubois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Shayne Napier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harahan AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sleepy Eye AFC the free kick. After having played for 93 minutes, Sid Downs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sleepy Eye AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sid Downs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harahan AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
