Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nigel Madsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Buddle having to interfere. After 10 played minutes, Clemson's Wilbert Fournier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gary Buddle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clemson reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ryan Painter managed to get in a good position for a shot. ChicagoBulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryan Painter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Tapia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Clemson getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rodney Shipman hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Francesco Grace managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ChicagoBulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francesco Grace was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Teodoro Arroyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gary Buddle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nigel Madsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gary Buddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Clemson's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Painter came free, but Teodoro Tapia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nigel Madsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Arroyo in the 43rd minute of play forced ChicagoBulls's goalkeeper Gary Buddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Reginald Kiser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ChicagoBulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clemson the free kick. After a rather tough play, ChicagoBulls's Reginald Kiser got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Clemson were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Kurt Connell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes ChicagoBulls got a freekick which was hit by Loren Samuel. After having played for 61 minutes, Nigel Madsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clemson's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nigel Madsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gary Buddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Franklin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Francesco Grace received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Teodoro Tapia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Painter in the 70th minute of play forced Clemson's goalkeeper Teodoro Tapia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Tapia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Painter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nigel Madsen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gary Buddle having to make a save. After 89 minutes, Francesco Grace mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ChicagoBulls and the Clemson players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Clemson booed when ChicagoBulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Grace didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Arnoldo Welch managed to get in a good position for a shot. ChicagoBulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Welch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Tapia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemson were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over ChicagoBulls's much stronger midfield.
