The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trent Schumacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicholas Swanson hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Dupo's Cason Page played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Franklin in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Jasper Roland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Team Cookie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dupo the free kick. A collision led to Team Cookie getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jasper Roland hit a great ball. Kristopher Herget made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nathan Cornell in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Team Cookie's Jasper Roland got a free kick in the 19th minute. Team Cookie's Kristopher Herget played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wally Mobley in the 20th minute of play. Trent Schumacher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cason Page tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wally Mobley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute of the match, Wally Mobley tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristopher Herget saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kristopher Herget was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Wally Mobley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wally Mobley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Franklin in the 41st minute of play forced Dupo's goalkeeper Cason Page to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cason Page took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Jordan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristopher Herget showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wally Mobley, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Jim Franklin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cason Page read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jim Franklin to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Team Cookie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jasper Roland to maneuver through the defense. Cason Page was a little too slow when Darren McMullen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rupert McGinnis got free with Cason Page in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute, Jim Franklin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute, Team Cookie's Jim Franklin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cason Page. Cason Page yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 81st minute, Rupert McGinnis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristopher Herget showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Mobley in the 86th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Team Cookie:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dupo:s goal. Stan Shipp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cason Page having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Team Cookie got a freekick which was hit by Walker Quinn. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Team Cookie walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
