Kirk Jordan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benny Whitney was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Walker Quinn. If Hayden Graves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19thth minute of the game Jim Franklin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beech Grove FC's Benny Whitney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Hayden Graves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Herget saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waylon Roper in the 30th minute of play forced Team Cookie's goalkeeper Kristopher Herget to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Franklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Whitney having to interfere. Kirk Jordan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Beech Grove FC's zone, Jim Franklin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When Marty Oberle fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beech Grove FC's protests and gave Marty Oberle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Marty Oberle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hayden Graves to make the kick off. In the 59th match minute, Team Cookie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Swanson to maneuver through the defense. Team Cookie made a substitution. Darren McMullen replaced Kirk Jordan. In the 64th minute, Waylon Roper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristopher Herget was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Walker Quinn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benny Whitney. Beech Grove FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Ned Bush hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Beech Grove FC's goal looked a bit too open when Darren McMullen came free, but Benny Whitney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
