Cristopher Goldberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Spears, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sonny Call had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wendell Miles hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Rudy Gann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristopher Goldberg having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Ervin Hamilton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bensenville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linton FC the free kick. After 34 played minutes Bensenville FC got a freekick which was hit by Ervin Hamilton. Rudy Gann struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Cristopher Goldberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linton FC. When Rudy Gann, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 37 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cristopher Goldberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rudy Gann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Cristopher Goldberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Clint Carpenter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bensenville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linton FC the free kick. Cristopher Goldberg had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Ricardo Kyle's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Cristopher Goldberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Khan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garry Cuevas made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Call in the 54th minute of play forced Linton FC's goalkeeper Everett Otto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linton FC's Everett Otto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Cuevas in the 59th minute of play. Everett Otto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garry Cuevas, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Mario Spears shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristopher Goldberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Linton FC's Sandy Phipps got a free kick in the 71st minute. Everett Otto came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Bensenville FC's Garry Cuevas. But to his dismay, Garry Cuevas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 84 played minutes Bensenville FC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Call. After 86 minutes, Tyrese McGowan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bensenville FC and the Linton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bensenville FC's Tyrese McGowan got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes, Linton FC's Ricardo Kyle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cristopher Goldberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linton FC reached it. Rudy Gann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rudy Gann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Cristopher Goldberg made a huge save. Cristopher Goldberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudy Gann in the 96th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bensenville FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Linton FC for much of the match.
