The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Curt Wilkins during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Scotland Neck booed when Myrtle Grove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curt Wilkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Raymond Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Culver in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Groves saved Myrtle Grove from getting behind. Marcos Tobin hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Crowley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Myrtle Grove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curt Wilkins to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes in the game, Josef Culver dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Oswaldo Crowley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 39 in the game by Raymond Acosta from a close distance when the talented Rafael Groves managed to make a qualified save. Myrtle Grove's players were relieved. Oren Lindsay hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 52 played minutes Myrtle Grove got a freekick which was hit by Tom Bowling. In the 54th minute Raymond Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Groves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bart York during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bart York hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With his leg Jermaine Toth managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Myrtle Grove's Aaron Toth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 65th minute Oswaldo Crowley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Toth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Groves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Culver in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Myrtle Grove's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Culver came free, but Rafael Groves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymond Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rafael Groves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Raymond Acosta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scotland Neck's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Acosta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Groves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Josef Culver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Toth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Crowley in the 94th minute of the match. Marcos Tobin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Groves having to interfere. Scotland Neck walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
