Patriots New England's 温宽诚 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Patriots New England from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the game, Domingo Darling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scotland Neck's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patriots New England the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Scotland Neck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Darling to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Lourenço might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jermaine Toth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Lourenço ran back to his position shaking his head. Jermaine Toth came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Patriots New England's Emmitt Denton. But to his dismay, Emmitt Denton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Lourenço in the 23rd minute of play forced Scotland Neck's goalkeeper Jermaine Toth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Scotland Neck's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Lourenço came free, but Jermaine Toth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymond Acosta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but 温宽诚 firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 33rd minute, Josef Culver reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 温宽诚. The goal made the score 1-1. Jermaine Toth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Lourenço in the 36th minute of play. Van Nieves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jermaine Toth having to interfere. Neal Pepper charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neal Pepper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Neal Pepper hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jermaine Toth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Arthur, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Patriots New England's 温宽诚 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Patriots New England from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Van Nieves during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emmitt Denton was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Paulo Lourenço got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Patriots New England's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Culver came free, but 温宽诚 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Van Nieves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Lourenço got free with Jermaine Toth in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Van Nieves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Scotland Neck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Holmes to maneuver through the defense. Patriots New England's Emmitt Denton got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jim Harper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jermaine Toth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmitt Denton in the 75th minute of the match. When Van Nieves was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. In the 77th match minute, Patriots New England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Van Nieves to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st match minute, Patriots New England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiley Steward to maneuver through the defense. Emmitt Denton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jermaine Toth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Sarro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jim Harper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Patriots New England's Paulo Lourenço in 92 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jermaine Toth guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 96th minute, Paulo Lourenço ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jermaine Toth was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3.
