Charles Meyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lockland booed when Lyman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Faulkner didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Milan Renteria notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lyman's Kirk Diggs. Kirk Diggs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anton Thomson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Jermaine Titus, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kirk Diggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Meyer in the 29th minute of the match. Anton Thomson's late challenge caught a Lockland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Thomson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Anton Thomson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kirk Diggs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milan Renteria in the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Charles Meyer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lockland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Meyer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Meyer made a kick off. Shawn Stapleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brent Carson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lockland's Douglas Huang got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Lyman booed when Lockland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Huang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milan Renteria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78thth minute of the game Brent Carson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lockland's Shawn Stapleton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Milan Renteria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Timothy Guerrero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shawn Stapleton was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Theodore Townsend hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Timothy Guerrero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Lockland defense, Brent Carson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shawn Stapleton. The Lockland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shawn Stapleton should have stopped the shot. Lockland's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
