Brock Coulter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute, Octavio Benavides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garnett AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The audience was convinced that Octavio Benavides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brock Coulter was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. When Laurence McGill fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garnett AFC's protests and gave Laurence McGill a yellow card for diving instead. 45 minutes into the game, one of Garnett AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Darnell Chapman had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Darrell Ryan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Marc Mattson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Octavio Benavides made the kick off in the second half. Jared Chase could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Brock Coulter made a huge save. Darnell Chapman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Mattson, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When Jared Chase came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Garnett AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jared Chase couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Mattson in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darnell Chapman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Simon Gray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Darnell Chapman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Mattson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darnell Chapman having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Octavio Benavides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garnett AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Benavides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Mattson scored 2-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Darnell Chapman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to San Elizario getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Wilbur Clay hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Garnett AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
