With a couple of smart ball manuevers Len Beatty in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesse Pierre saved Laurel Bay from getting behind. After 35 played minutes Laurel Bay got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Reece. 44 minutes into the match, Detroit Lakes's Lincoln McLean broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Oswaldo Moss kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Loren Lane's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Jesse Pierre skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
