After a defensive mix-up in Gamewell's zone, Gerry Woodard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Cullen came out of the goal and Gerry Woodard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 minutes, Colin Moody mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Attleborough and the Gamewell players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, North Attleborough's Colin Moody got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Charlton Hollandsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Cullen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Woodard, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ed Leonard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charlton Hollandsworth in the 23rd minute. Gerry Woodard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Cullen having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Milton Kline managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gamewell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milton Kline was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Gamewell's goal looked a bit too open when J.C. Hays came free, but Oscar Cullen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerry Woodard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Doran hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. J.C. Hays sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Marshall Redding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charlton Hollandsworth to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Gamewell's zone, Randell Phipps stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Cullen came out of the goal and Randell Phipps tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charlton Hollandsworth in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ed Leonard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marshall Redding's late challenge caught a North Attleborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marshall Redding helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gamewell getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Marshall Redding hit a great ball. Colin Moody was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, J.C. Hays left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Attleborough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 67th minute, Raul Velez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerry Woodard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Cullen having to interfere. If Charlton Hollandsworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Velez in the 84th minute of play forced North Attleborough's goalkeeper Ed Leonard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Velez scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ed Leonard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Gamewell's Oscar Cullen got control of the ball when Gerry Woodard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerry Woodard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Oscar Cullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerry Woodard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 93rd playminute.
