Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Rock Rapids AFC's Al Boston started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dave Forbes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Gunter having to interfere. Moses Elias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Boston in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Raphael Fontenot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vine Grove's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rock Rapids AFC the free kick. The supporters of Rock Rapids AFC booed when Vine Grove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Fontenot didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dave Forbes came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Vine Grove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dave Forbes couldn't finish the play. Moses Elias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Al Boston went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Al Boston got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tony Gunter came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Vine Grove's Dave Forbes. But to his dismay, Dave Forbes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 39 played minutes Vine Grove got a freekick which was hit by Walker Louis. Joesph Shipp's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Moses Elias on his right side and into the goal. 40 minutes into the game it was 1-3. After 44 played minutes Rock Rapids AFC got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Kim. If Lawrence Merrill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Deshawn Reid might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moses Elias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deshawn Reid ran back to his position shaking his head. Rock Rapids AFC's Deshawn Reid got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Moses Elias managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Rock Rapids AFC's Deshawn Reid fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Deshawn Reid struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Moses Elias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rock Rapids AFC. Miles Burch hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Moses Elias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Al Boston's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Moses Elias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Boston in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th of the match, Al Boston tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Moses Elias got in the way and made a wonderful save. Moses Elias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Al Boston, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Al Boston scored 1-4 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moses Elias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Vine Grove's Moses Elias got control of the ball when Deshawn Reid tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deshawn Reid got free with Moses Elias in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Rock Rapids AFC's Al Boston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moses Elias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Rock Rapids AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vine Grove.
