The Lucas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zackary Nava should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Devin Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suquamish's supporters rose to their feet, but Devin Costello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zackary Nava breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 minutes, Edmílson Alves made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Lucas's Zackary Nava tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zackary Nava showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lucas's zone, Edmílson Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Nava came out of the goal and Edmílson Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmílson Alves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Zackary Nava when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Roger Huntley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmílson Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zackary Nava read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zackary Blalock during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
