Rod Hadley kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Shelton Samuels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Clayton Lutz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joesph Munoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Pate's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Saber Cats CF's Roy Loomis got a free kick in the 20th minute. Rich Yost fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joesph Munoz having to interfere. Saber Cats CF's Joesph Munoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Saber Cats CF from getting a goal against them. Rod Hadley hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Lincoln Graham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clayton Lutz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Rich Yost got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joesph Munoz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 42nd minute, one of Saber Cats CF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saber Cats CF. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Pelham Manor. J.C. Knight stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joesph Munoz. 1-0. Rich Yost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Saber Cats CF's zone, Ivan Pate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joesph Munoz came out of the goal and Ivan Pate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rich Yost in the 55th minute of play forced Saber Cats CF's goalkeeper Joesph Munoz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Ivan Pate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelham Manor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Pate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Blum couldn't finish the play.
