In the 23rd match minute, Azalea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Holmes to maneuver through the defense. If Wilbur Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Angelo Workman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sydney Schafer, passed just outside the right post. Terrell Henley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ty Grossman having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Azalea AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Villa came free, but Ty Grossman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Wilbur Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Gulfport AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilbur Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ty Grossman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ty Grossman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Villa in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Terrell Henley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ty Grossman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match Ralph Ali shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ty Grossman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ty Grossman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilbur Villa's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. North Gulfport AFC's Sydney Schafer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Holmes in the 55th minute of play. Wilbur Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ty Grossman having to interfere. After 59 minutes, Clark Medrano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Gulfport AFC and the Azalea AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo McRae during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Azalea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bo McRae. North Gulfport AFC's Terrell Henley got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wilbur Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Workman in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sydney Schafer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the match, North Gulfport AFC's Terrell Henley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ty Grossman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded North Gulfport AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Azalea AFC.
