Brock Clemons came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Forsyth's Matthew McDermott. But to his dismay, Matthew McDermott quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Laurence Goodrich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio MacWilliams in the 21st minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Billy Mobley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forsyth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billy Mobley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brock Clemons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Greene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Rudolf Greene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brock Clemons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brock Clemons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Greene in the 31st minute of play. Brock Clemons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Mobley in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Clay Coffman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brock Clemons was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Mobley in the 38th minute of play forced Somaspor's goalkeeper Brock Clemons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seth Rasmussen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Laurence Goodrich made a huge save. After the first half Forsyth were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldo Carrasco was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Forsyth's Billy Mobley ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brock Clemons. Brock Clemons yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Luciano Granger kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Brock Clemons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Mobley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Somaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Clay Coffman came free, but Brock Clemons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Monte Hanson got free with Brock Clemons in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Somaspor's Brock Clemons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Mobley in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Monte Hanson could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Brock Clemons however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Somaspor's Wilson Root got a free kick in the 78th minute. Brock Clemons was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rudolf Greene showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. In the 88th minute Billy Mobley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brock Clemons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Somaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Greene came free, but Brock Clemons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billy Mobley took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brock Clemons. Brock Clemons dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Brock Clemons made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clay Coffman in the 95th minute. When the match was over Forsyth could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Somaspor throughout the match.
