Santiago Hester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Manuel AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Fontana AFC's zone, Barry Mullins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Hester came out of the goal and Barry Mullins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Fontana AFC booed when San Manuel AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kermit Francis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, San Manuel AFC's goalkeeper Colby Cegielski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timothy Daly. Kristofer Engel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Hester having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. San Manuel AFC had won after a very even match.
