Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Arsenal's Alfonso Patterson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Santo Sumner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kendall Green's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal the free kick. A collision led to Kendall Green getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Santo Sumner hit a great ball. Mohammad Thomas hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Kendall Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todd Parker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Merrill Brock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Sherwood Aquino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Hal Rosado got a free kick in the 15th minute. Merrill Brock struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Sherwood Aquino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kendall Green. In the 24th minute, Alfonso Patterson made a precise shot to the right of Mervin Baez. Kendall Green's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Santo Sumner's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Sherwood Aquino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alfonso Patterson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The Kendall Green players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arsenal were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santo Sumner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Murray Patten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mervin Baez made a huge save. In the 56th minute, Reggie Fish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Kendall Green's Keith Rosario in action when he in the 57th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 60th minute of the match, Alfonso Patterson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mervin Baez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dwight Willis kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Rich Jernigan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sherwood Aquino. Arsenal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Santo Sumner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Kendall Green's Todd Parker got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Mervin Baez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Santo Sumner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Sumner came free, but Sherwood Aquino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Sumner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santo Sumner in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sherwood Aquino saved Arsenal from getting behind. Quincy Holman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Arsenal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kendall Green throughout the match.
