Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Alfonso Patterson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Xavier Yoder got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Stan Spencer got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 24th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Patten to maneuver through the defense. Cherry Grove AFC's Rolf Gonzales couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arsenal. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal's zone, Xavier Yoder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sherwood Aquino came out of the goal and Xavier Yoder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Salvatore Best managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cherry Grove AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvatore Best was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sherwood Aquino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everett Hicks in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vern Gibbons saved Cherry Grove AFC from getting behind. In the 41st minute, Alfonso Patterson made a precise shot to the right of Vern Gibbons. Cherry Grove AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Sherwood Aquino made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Salvatore Best sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavier Yoder to make the kick off. Sherwood Aquino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvatore Best, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sherwood Aquino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvatore Best's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Xavier Yoder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sherwood Aquino having to make a save. Alfonso Patterson might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vern Gibbons. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Patterson ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Salvatore Best came free, but Sherwood Aquino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cherry Grove AFC's Xavier Yoder got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Yoder in the 78th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Sherwood Aquino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sherwood Aquino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvatore Best in the 84th minute of the match. Salvatore Best sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Murray Patten. Sherwood Aquino came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Cherry Grove AFC's Salvatore Best. But to his dismay, Salvatore Best quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Murray Patten charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murray Patten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Patten to maneuver through the defense. The Arsenal players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Cherry Grove AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
