Frank Rosales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 29 minutes, Nathanial Wilkinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odenton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathanial Wilkinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 minutes, Shawn Brewster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Odenton and the Chadron AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Odenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Brewster to maneuver through the defense. Ronny Richard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Damien Kellogg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frank Rosales came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Chadron AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Rosales couldn't finish the play. Damien Kellogg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Richard in the 40th minute of the match. Frank Rosales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damien Kellogg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Richard in the 43rd minute of play. Chadron AFC's Frank Rosales managed to work through Odenton's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Frank Rosales dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Barney was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Frank Rosales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chadron AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Rosales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damien Kellogg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Richard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Rosales in the 58th minute of play forced Odenton's goalkeeper Damien Kellogg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marco Barney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Collin Ruiz was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Chadron AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ronny Richard struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Damien Kellogg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chadron AFC. Odenton's Damien Kellogg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Rosales in the 99th minute of play.
