Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bryant Fugate got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Mixon in the 3rd minute of play forced Southgate's goalkeeper Sidney Currie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forrest Britt hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Quincy FC's Edgar Grace got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Forrest Britt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southgate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quincy FC the free kick. A collision led to Southgate getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Forrest Britt hit a great ball. Jared Tackett, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Sammy Mixon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sidney Currie, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Jermaine Atkins put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jamal Pujols. Sidney Currie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Mixon in the 22nd minute of play. Sammy Mixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sammy Mixon struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Sidney Currie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quincy FC. George Beach might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidney Currie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Beach ran back to his position shaking his head. Dave Cagle kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Fernando Rollins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southgate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quincy FC the free kick. Jared Tackett made a great header on Quincy FC's corner, it was just that Southgate's Sidney Currie managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Southgate's Sidney Currie got control of the ball when Edgar Grace tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Sammy Mixon took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sidney Currie to make any attempt to save it. Edgar Grace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Southgate's Sidney Currie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Mixon in the 46th minute of play. Edgar Grace recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sammy Mixon was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Southgate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jared Tackett was slow to take the kick. During this time Quincy FC's players had a chance to rest. If Edgar Grace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Emerson Harmon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Southgate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quincy FC the free kick. In the 64th minute, Emerson Harmon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sammy Mixon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sammy Mixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quincy FC's Edgar Grace got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Beach kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Quincy FC's zone, Jermaine Atkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamal Pujols came out of the goal and Jermaine Atkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Southgate getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Tyrese Tovar hit a great ball. Southgate's Sidney Currie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Mixon in the 88th minute of play. Fernando Rollins got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Southgate's Fernando Rollins got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Southgate's zone, Sammy Mixon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Currie came out of the goal and Sammy Mixon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quincy FC's Edgar Grace got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Edgar Grace managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quincy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Grace was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Currie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sidney Currie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Mixon in the 95th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Grace in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Currie saved Southgate from getting behind. There was no doubt that Quincy FC were the better team. Quincy FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
