Blaine Segura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Tualatin FC's Winfred Reed got a free kick in the 16th minute. Rob Bachman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Avery Singh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Payson's Ari Stacy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blaine Segura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Payson got a freekick which was hit by Hans McGill. Avery Singh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Bachman, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Blaine Dillon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blaine Segura was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaine Dillon in the 46th minute of play forced Tualatin FC's goalkeeper Blaine Segura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Houston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blaine Dillon to make the kick off. If Blaine Dillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendon Duffy hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Payson's Hans McGill got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tualatin FC's Blaine Segura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Tualatin FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaine Dillon in the 84th minute of play forced Tualatin FC's goalkeeper Blaine Segura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tualatin FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
