Stanton James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filiberto Copeland took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basil Wetzel. Basil Wetzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Blanton came free, but Basil Wetzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanton James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basil Wetzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Copeland in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, one of Rapid City FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 28th minute, Rapid City FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stanton James fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Rapid City FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Deshawn Perkins hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Blanton came free, but Basil Wetzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cason Barney hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Gregory Elkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Wiley English tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Hendricks was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Gregory Elkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiley English saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basil Wetzel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kerry Blanton in the 58th minute. If Stanton James had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Rapid City FC got a freekick which was hit by Cason Barney. Wendell Norwood blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiley English having to make a save. Stanton James sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Hendricks in the 73rd minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Basil Wetzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kerry Blanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Basil Wetzel made a huge save. In the 75th minute, Stanton James ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wiley English was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Racing Club's Basil Wetzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Hendricks in the 78th minute of play. Jermaine Pierre struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Wiley English didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Stanton James took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wiley English. Wiley English dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 91 minutes into the game, when Jon Hendrix put in a rough tackle. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Racing Club! If Gregory Elkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Racing Club had played much better football throughout.
