Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Forrest Ivey ran back to his position shaking his head. If Forrest Ivey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Upper Grand Lagoon AFC's Rocky McCormick in 11 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jeffrey Dukes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 17th match minute, Upper Grand Lagoon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rocky McCormick to maneuver through the defense. When Pine Ridge's Sid Peralta in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Upper Grand Lagoon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Kris Morin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. The supporters of Upper Grand Lagoon AFC booed when Pine Ridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Travis Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Kris Morin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pine Ridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Morin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Cormier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Pine Ridge's Jeffrey Dukes got control of the ball when Forrest Ivey tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, one of Pine Ridge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pine Ridge. Stephen Jackson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 43rd minute, Sid Peralta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sid Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kris Morin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duncan Cormier made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Sid Peralta sent off a good shot on target. Rusty Camacho hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Sid Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kris Morin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sid Peralta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Duncan Cormier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kris Morin in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duncan Cormier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rocky McCormick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sid Peralta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Duncan Cormier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute Kris Morin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Cormier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Forrest Ivey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jeffrey Dukes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Upper Grand Lagoon AFC's Duncan Cormier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Morin in the 94th minute of play. Pine Ridge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
