Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bo Knox took the kick off in the first half of the match. New Hyde AFC's Douglas Hatcher got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Sammy Solis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl Matthews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Hans Downing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shawn Titus kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Matthews in the 15th minute of play forced New Hyde AFC's goalkeeper Hans Downing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Karl Matthews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to New Hyde AFC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Deshawn Keenan hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Santiago Osborn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Hyde AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Vista FC the free kick. If Sammy Solis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Matthews in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Downing saved New Hyde AFC from getting behind. Hans Downing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sammy Solis in the 35th minute of the match. Karl Matthews took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hans Downing. Hans Downing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A hard shot 48 in the game by Douglas Hatcher from a close distance when the talented Donovan Benson managed to make a qualified save. La Vista FC's players were relieved.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Matthews to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in La Vista FC's zone, Bo Knox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donovan Benson came out of the goal and Bo Knox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Hatcher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donovan Benson having to make a save. After 61 minutes of play, New Hyde AFC's Douglas Hatcher made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donovan Benson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute Bo Knox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Benson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes, Jesus Veltman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Hyde AFC and the La Vista FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Vista FC booed when New Hyde AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Veltman didn't get a good kick on the ball.
