Stacy Ayerss short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Donovan Benson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stephan McDaniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Matthews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stacy Ayers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bermuda Dunes FC's zone, Karl Matthews stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan McDaniel came out of the goal and Karl Matthews tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berry Marshall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Donovan Benson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes La Vista FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Marsh. The supporters of Bermuda Dunes FC booed when La Vista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cedric Couch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donovan Benson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 28th minute Karl Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan McDaniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sammy Solis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes La Vista FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Marsh. 37 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Bermuda Dunes FC's Jim Winter fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jim Winter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bermuda Dunes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Winter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donovan Benson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stacy Ayers got free with Donovan Benson in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jim Winter took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Donovan Benson to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jim Winter made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Jim Winter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Stacy Ayers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stacy Ayers in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donovan Benson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67thth minute of the game Jim Winter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Vista FC's Donovan Benson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st of the match, Karl Matthews tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Stephan McDaniel got in the way and made a wonderful save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sammy Solis got free with Stephan McDaniel in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Bermuda Dunes FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Yong Wolf hit a great ball. If Jim Winter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Stacy Ayers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bermuda Dunes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jim Winter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Marsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Stephan McDaniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bermuda Dunes FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
