Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matthew Morrison kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Oil City's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Morrison came free, but Tod Bryson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Duke Dodd managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Oil City's Rick Hastings fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Johnson Valdez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Bryson having to interfere. In the 24th minute Matthew Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Bryson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zack Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tod Bryson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthew Morrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Dededo's goal looked a bit too open when Zack Duarte came free, but Duke Dodd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zack Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Duke Dodd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Matthew Morrison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oil City's Tod Bryson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute, Johnson Valdez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rick Hastings got free with Duke Dodd in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
After 53 played minutes Oil City got a freekick which was hit by Flint Haskins. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flint Haskins during the 54th minute.
