With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bret Jeffries prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Liverpool FC's Bret Jeffries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Troy Moore in the 8th minute of play. If Troy Moore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bret Jeffries showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Hines in the 14th minute of the match. Troy Moore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st match minute, Medford Lakes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Levi Keenan to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Troy Moore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Medford Lakes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 26th minute Andy Hines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bret Jeffries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andy Hines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Levi Keenan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bret Jeffries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bret Jeffries stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Troy Moore's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Troy Moore notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Liverpool FC's Bret Jeffries. Bret Jeffries was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the game, Jarrod Carrey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Medford Lakes the free kick. In the 44th minute, Jarrod Carrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When Andy Hines came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Medford Lakes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andy Hines couldn't finish the play. Stewart Zavala kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Andy Hines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bret Jeffries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bret Jeffries stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Troy Moore's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The supporters of Medford Lakes booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stewart Zavala didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Andy Hines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Bret Jeffries managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Medford Lakes's Troy Moore fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bret Jeffries showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Moore, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The Medford Lakes fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Medford Lakes's Andy Hines looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Junior Bonilla, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bret Jeffries was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Troy Moore showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 90 minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Medford Lakes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denny Hathaway to maneuver through the defense.
