In the 4th minute, Andre Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Margate's Art Medrano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aidan Welch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7thth minute of the game Art Medrano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skyhawks's Aidan Welch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andre Pereira succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. If Devon Novak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Devon Novak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. DeAndre Ramsey made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Rosario Lloyd sent off a good shot on target. Aidan Welch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Art Medrano in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Skyhawks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milan Sexton to maneuver through the defense. Art Medrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Renato Kramer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg DeAndre Ramsey managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Skyhawks's Rosario Lloyd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Devon Novak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Skyhawks's Devon Novak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Skyhawks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chad Beebe to maneuver through the defense. Rosario Lloyd's late challenge caught a Margate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rosario Lloyd helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Rosario Lloyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Devon Novak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Skyhawks's Devon Novak in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Margate's goalie prevented a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Rosario Lloyd notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Margate's DeAndre Ramsey. DeAndre Ramsey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Devon Novak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but DeAndre Ramsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Skyhawks's zone, Andre Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aidan Welch came out of the goal and Andre Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Aidan Welch managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Margate's Art Medrano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rosario Lloyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. DeAndre Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Margate's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Novak came free, but DeAndre Ramsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Rosario Lloyd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Margate's DeAndre Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosario Lloyd in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Devon Novak in the 91st minute of play forced Margate's goalkeeper DeAndre Ramsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Rosario Lloyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skyhawks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosario Lloyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Skyhawks had played much better football throughout.
