Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Colin Duncan kicked off to start the match. Edgardo Staley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colin Duncan in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnson Cullen in the 9th minute of play forced Hobbs's goalkeeper Edgardo Staley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Laughlin's Colin Duncan in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hobbs's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Colin Duncan in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Staley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dudley Dean during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Laughlin got a freekick which was hit by Dudley Dean. Edgardo Staley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Duncan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laughlin's attentive Gordon Huffman managed to snatch the ball when Connor Ogden made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Matthew Shields charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthew Shields the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With 34 minutes on the clock, Jon Leon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hobbs fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Laughlin a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dudley Dean, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hobbs's Edgardo Staley. 0-2. 40 minutes into the match, Johnson Cullen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgardo Staley. Hobbs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johnson Cullen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Edgardo Staley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnson Cullen in the 44th minute of play. Luis Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Noel Keene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luis Gilmore was the one to do the kick off. Damon Hickey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Staley having to interfere. When Connor Ogden fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hobbs's protests and gave Connor Ogden a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Hobbs got a freekick which was hit by Connor Ogden. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damon Hickey in the 56th minute of play forced Hobbs's goalkeeper Edgardo Staley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Laughlin's Colin Duncan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgardo Staley. Edgardo Staley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Colin Duncan scored 0-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgardo Staley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Laughlin's Dudley Dean dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Edgardo Staley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colin Duncan in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Colin Duncan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgardo Staley. Colin Duncan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dudley Dean got free with Edgardo Staley in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 82 played minutes Laughlin got a freekick which was hit by Roman Begay. Edgardo Staley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnson Cullen in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Colin Duncan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laughlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Colin Duncan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colin Duncan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Staley having to interfere.
