George Haney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod McGuire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Rossville:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gustine FC:s goal. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Gustine FC. Darron Rosario stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving George Haney. 0-1. After having played for 14 minutes, Tod McGuire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gustine FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tod McGuire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rossville's George Haney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephan Avila in the 19th minute of play. In the 26th minute Desmond Mueller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintin Toney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stephan Avila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes of play, Gustine FC's Tuan Mayes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Haney was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Gustine FC's Tod McGuire in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rossville's goalie prevented a goal. Tod McGuire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Haney having to interfere. Rossville's George Haney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tod McGuire in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Desmond Mueller to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Jerry McCoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rossville and the Gustine FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Rossville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry McCoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute Rudolph Dunham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintin Toney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rossville's goalkeeper George Haney, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rudolph Dunham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quintin Toney having to interfere. Gerard Woodson charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerard Woodson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gustine FC's Gerard Woodson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Stephan Avila received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. George Haney came out and tried to block the shot, but Stephan Avila slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 73rd minute. After 78 minutes of play, Rossville's Desmond Mueller made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quintin Toney was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephan Avila in the 92nd minute of play forced Rossville's goalkeeper George Haney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Rossville's goalkeeper George Haney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tod McGuire. In the 94th minute, Alex Goddard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gustine FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
