Duncan Miner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sterling McMullen in the 4th minute of the match. A collision led to Port Carbon FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Johnny Sneed hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Lewis Goodson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minnehaha AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Goodson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Miner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 10 minutes, Lewis Goodson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minnehaha AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lewis Goodson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Port Carbon FC's zone, Sterling McMullen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duncan Miner came out of the goal and Sterling McMullen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Port Carbon FC booed when Minnehaha AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sterling McMullen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sterling McMullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sterling McMullen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Sterling McMullen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Terrence Calloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Minnehaha AFC defense, Terrence Calloway kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudy Brandon. The Minnehaha AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudy Brandon should have stopped the shot. Earl Dill kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Rudy Brandon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Frank Palmer. Sterling McMullen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duncan Miner having to make a save. The supporters of Minnehaha AFC booed when Port Carbon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randolph Meyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duncan Miner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lewis Goodson went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Duncan Miner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sterling McMullen in the 43rd minute of play. Marco Garcia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duncan Miner. Port Carbon FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jesse Guy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rudy Brandon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Terrence Calloway to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Minnehaha AFC's Sterling McMullen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Duncan Miner. That made the score 1-2 after 54 minutes of play. After 61 minutes Port Carbon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marco Garcia who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Minnehaha AFC's Marco Garcia to fire away a dangerous shot which Duncan Miner despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 63rd minute Sterling McMullen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Miner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Sterling McMullen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cedric Puckett struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Rudy Brandon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Port Carbon FC. 79 minutes into the match, Terrence Calloway notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Minnehaha AFC's Rudy Brandon. Rudy Brandon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lewis Goodson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duncan Miner having to interfere. Lewis Goodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sterling McMullen in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duncan Miner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lewis Goodson got free with Duncan Miner in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite being the better team, Minnehaha AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
