Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Levi Mixon got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Chris Scales had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Del Macias. Skyline View's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Chris Scales was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Chris Scales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cicero FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gilbert Blanton 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Chris Scales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Levi Mixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Del Macias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Del Macias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Echols in the 35th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Cicero FC's Chris Scales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Del Macias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Mitch Merritt kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Blanton to strike the kick off in the second half. Glenn Langston's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Del Macias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Rupert Grayson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Chris Scales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Skyline View's Mitch Merritt got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Benito Echols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cicero FC booed when Skyline View was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitch Merritt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Levi Mixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skyline View's Del Macias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Scales in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Skyline View's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Scales came free, but Del Macias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Benito Echols got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benito Echols came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Cicero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Echols couldn't finish the play. Ken Elmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Del Macias having to interfere. When Glenn Langston came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cicero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Langston couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Cicero FC booed when Skyline View was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Blanton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cicero FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
