After a defensive mix-up in Montevallo AFC's zone, Chris Scales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rufus Gunn came out of the goal and Chris Scales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chants of Montevallo AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cicero FC had held the ball for most of the match.
