Wenatchee FC's Arnold Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Alfonsina Storni's Abraham Walsh got control of the ball when Joe Robinson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Wenatchee FC booed when Alfonsina Storni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Wetzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sam Bennett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shannon Thorpe in the 12th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Alfonsina Storni's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Carrillo came free, but Abraham Walsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Abraham Walsh managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Wenatchee FC's Scott Vasquez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shannon Thorpe to strike the kick off in the second half. If Werner Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Werner Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wenatchee FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Werner Carrillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abraham Walsh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Scott Vasquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Walsh having to interfere. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alfonsina Storni's goalkeeper Abraham Walsh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute of the match Wenatchee FC got a corner. Alfonsina Storni's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Scott Vasquez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 62 played minutes Alfonsina Storni got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Peralta. Werner Carrillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sam Bennett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shannon Thorpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
