Charles Green sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 minutes, Darryl Coyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shoal creek and the Atletico Madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Shoal creek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Coyle to maneuver through the defense. Roberto Odell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kraig Lozano in the 21st minute of the match. Roosevelt Blanco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Russ Penn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 28 played minutes Shoal creek got a freekick which was hit by Norman Broussard. When Charles Green came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Shoal creek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Green couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Charles Green kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Russ Penn. That made the score 1-1 in the 38 minute of play. Deshawn Longoria hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes, Shoal creek's Tyron Kurtz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Russ Penn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shoal creek reached it.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charles Green stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atletico Madrid's Deshawn Longoria shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Roberto Odell but with some difficulty. Russ Penn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Green in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Shoal creek getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Teodoro Fournier hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Kraig Lozano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Norman Broussard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Kraig Lozano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roberto Odell. That made the score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. Roberto Odell didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Atletico Madrid's Kraig Lozano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Jed Spaulding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Shoal creek got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Fournier. Teodoro Fournier hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Roosevelt Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Russ Penn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Green's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atletico Madrid had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
